Default Moving from NL to Limit

Hey guys, to change pace for a while I've decided to move from 50NL to some SSLH (namely 1/2 and 2/4). What key differences would you say that I have to watch out for? I'm a solid winner at 50 max NL but have found my game to be getting dull and unimaginative and would like a fresh look at a new game, as well as something slightly different to play.

If u don`t mind big loses u can start in this limits, but beter go for first few days maybe weeks for lower,i`m usualy playing 2/4$ limits, and players like u are best fish u can get
diferense here,u can`t make big bets to make drows fold.Hnads like AK don`t have to much value in limt games.in short handed games all game going to steel from blinds, must of time u raise and only BB calls, but u need experiance to play against it.

try sending Gelford, the resident unlimidonk, a PM. I haven't seen him post in a couple weeks but he made the nl>lhe transition not too long ago and could give you some good advice

The biggest subtle difference is you can (and have to) value bet much thinner than you would in NL.

Eg in NL, you raise AJ from the CO, flop comes QJ6, you cbet the flop and get called. You probably check behind the turn, as you more or less have a bluff catcher. In limit, easy turn (and river, if you don't get raised) vb even unimproved.

I'd like to introduce you to what us limit players call the turn and river. Make sure to value bet them both.

lol.....yeah actually when I started playing NL I read small stakes hold em' about 4-5 times over just to get a "feel" for limit. I'm re-reading it now, but as with any poker book some of the information has to be outdated.
