Having sort of served as commissioner for HULA ML i'd agree that the commissioner should prob get paid...mostly to give them some guilt motivation to get stuff done towards the end after their team has gotten their butts kicked and arent really in it anymore.

I'm not sure a higher entry fee will make much difference. if people are flaking out with a $50 fee is a $100 fee gonna change much?

The main thing essential to assuring success is to have the commissioner settle on a final plan before it gets fully underway and make sure all the details are know by all.

Big questions that we actually started the season without resolving last time are as follows:

Are the teams in divisions? If so how is that determined? How many weeks are in the season? How will the schedules be determined as to who will play who? What is the playoffs structure?

Its a lot of work but the experience was worth it. I learned some essentials of HU play that are needed to be basically comfortable HU, the time commitment has definitely paid for itself in winnings HU, I learned some things about variance and tilt.

In all I reccomend it.

looks like you've thought this thru really well pers. i'd be down to try it again. $200 sounds good. i also like the idea of a smaller 5 team setup and shorter calendar.

if we do this it needs to be at least $100 imo. since all teams will be in the running for at least the first 3 weeks, it would mean you'd have to play your last 1-2 matches to get back your $100, which would be enough incentive i'd think.
