You guys dont realize that the truly great players never put their tournament lives on the line

Who cares about pot odds when you could be knocked out of the tournament?

I don't understand - is this "tongue-in-cheek"?

If not, what's the purpose of quoting un-named "truly great players"?

Trolling?

Annete's response here is pretty much a complete joke. If you are 50/50 against a person's range and getting 2-1 that is a gigantic edge, not a small one. You should fold int his situation precisely never. Even if you're the best tournament player in the world and against the biggest bunch of idiots ever, you should be calling.

every time I see something impressive from annette, like a good play or a solid brag such as the 4/180 blind win, she follows it up with some monstrosity like this within a week.

edge? who needs edge? if there's a big pot brewing and you have outs, just stick it in.
