i would of put him all in preflop. he is too short stacked not to. if he has Aces or kings so be it. i doubt he did. with that raise he has already put in 20% of his stack..

this is 100bb deep eff.....i dont get it

It's weird that two people have already referred to him as being short-stacked. When I went back to get the HH I thought I remembered him being shortstacked too for some reason. It's the min-raise. It [censored] with your mind.

I folded the flop, but I have a note in case I run into him again.

It's hard to give someone credit for AA or KK here if they minraise pf. That said this hand is tough. If you put in a bet or a raise at any point after his minraise it's going to be hard not to say "hell, I'm pot comitted". I guess I don't mind calling pf. But on a flop like that I would c/r him all-in a decent amount of the time. Don't bet obviously because a worse hand is not folding, but I think you can expect to pick up quite a bit by doing a c/r on the flop and getting him to bluff at it. I can see him having AK, AQ, JJ, TT here enough to make this play. Obviously JJ=bad, but the rest of the hands we like.

This preflop action closely resembles a hand I played the other day. Button raises, I reraise w/AK, he makes min-reraise. I tank and eventually fold (bad maybe?). He shows AK(!).

I mean presumably you dont move AI PF cus you want to see no A or K on flop before you stick him AI. I would say following your line once no ace or King comes you gotta stick it in on flop.

In addition since you checked to him, the bet may or may not mean AA/KK. Before acting on flop I would decided wether I want my chips in and either CRAI or Bet/fold. I know many posters dont like the B/F but if you check/fold youre saying I KNOW he's got AA/KK which to be honest you dont

how about minbetting the flop?

lead $1, somwtimes he will just call with KK giving you another 5% chance to improve.

You will get railed by everybody for suggesting this. They won't be able to give a solid reason for saying why it is bad, either.

However, I do this sometimes in a large pot where I am planning to check-fold, anyway. It actually confuses most players and I have many notes on decent players that say 'freezes to the minbet'.
