Default FTP store: StreetPilot GPS

Anyone gotten this and know how it is compared to other GPS on the market? I have GPS built into my car but would like to get one small enough to pack in my laptop bag and use in rental cars on road trips. Is this one worth the $93 hit to rakeback or should I get something else, sell it and buy another GPS? Any input would be appreciated.

just imo, but i've done a little research into this stuff. Garmin is pricey but in reviews is fairly comparable to mio units which i actually prefer due to their size and simplicity. That being said, you won't get either for less than the $90 hit to ur RB payment, so if ur going to get one, i guess the store would be the way to go...

Looks like it can be had for $220 on ebay. So the $93 hit to rakeback would be about 42 percent of the cost to get one myself.

I bought a SP c330 a few months back on sale from Circuit City for $250. Before that I had a SP i3. The i3 had a brighter screen (because is was not a touch screen) and would fit into a pocket (it is about the size of a tennis ball). Other than that I like the c330 better. The touch screen is nice and it has a few features that the i3 did not.

My dad has a SP 2610. That is by far a nicer unit than either of the ones I had but it is about $600 for something similar.

A friend of mine has a TomTom built into the programmer for his truck. There are a few things nicer about his and a few nicer about the c330. We where in Tulsa last week and wanted to find an Applebes or TGI Fridays. His could not find one and the c330 found four Applebes and a TGI Fridays within ten miles of our hotel.

For the price I don't think you can go wrong with the c330.

Google maps works on some newer phone. Might want to check that out too.

Street Pilot is good, Nuvi is smaller and better for traveling.
