Trying to learn but I'm a dummy so 7CSFAP isn't sinking in. The fact that I have won like 1% of my hands lately isn't helping either. Villains are unknown. I assume 2betting is much better than calling but perhaps folding is the best option?

Unless you have a specific note/read on him that he will raise with hands in that spot that you are ahead of(like 3 hearts, 3 broadway), fold.

This is a fold if he's not crazy, and maybe even then.
Seat 5 completing in early position shows strength, you have no overcard, and your hand isn't suited or straightening. You have no reason to play from behind here, and you ought to be behind. |

I'm with MrBlueNose...without a specific read or if villian is a known idiot this is probably a fold because he's showing strength by raising early.

I agree with everyone else...this is an automatic fold, UNLESS villain is a known LAG-maniac who is constantly raising when he has the high door card. If this is the case, you might want to consider re-raising to get other players out of the hand and to see how the LAG reacts.
My experience with LAG-maniacs who are constantly raising 3rd street is that they generally don't like to be played-back at because it takes them out of their comfort-zone. IMO, the earlier you do this in the hand against LAG-maniacs when the bets are small makes checking down the later streets more likely unless one of your hands visibly improves. |

This is a fold in a $10/20 game and probably a raise in a $30/60 game unless the raiser is very straightforward.

Fold in a heart beat, you have a terrible hand and most likely are against a better high hand. Pairs dont generally play well in stud8 unless you can get it HU against a low

Yeah I'm already great at Stud 8 but unfortunately that doesn't help me when I'm playing Stud Hi.
