4/180: Flopped set on ugly board, worse turn - line check
Just got moved to the table, so no reads other than the fact that it's a 4/180 so odds are these guys are pretty awful. Is there any way I fold the turn? Is there any way I'm not crushed on the river?

Re: 4/180: Flopped set on ugly board, worse turn - line check
Your pf action may be worthy of debate (though I won't claim it was a mistake). Against awful players who limp w/ weak hands, I think I'd prefer a small raise to increase the chances of doubling up when I hit.
The rest of the hand is well-played. Save your 270 chips for another time. |

nh.
everything is fine. pot on the flop is good. turn call with your boat draw is good. river is an easy fold. FWIW: there are some great players who insist on a pf raise every time in this spot. While, I disagree that a raise is mandatory I do often pop it. |

Re: 4/180: Flopped set on ugly board, worse turn - line check
fine as played. I too am OK with limping often with 99 - but in this case I might have actually popped it up a little preflop just based on position, etc.

You have to call the turn hoping the board pairs because you might stack one of them. River I fold too. I realzied last night that 99 is my biggest leak in the game. Period bar none. I'm way to agro and stubborn with it. I busted 2 times with it and starting recalling the about seemingly 20 hands that cost me a fortune in recent memory. It's my new mosted hated hand right up there with Ace Ten. |

OP:
What else could you possibly do here in this situation? I think you played it fine. nh. Barry |
