After looking at a fe wof your other posts, it looks like you need to read the FAQ and play around with a convertor for a while before your post more hands. All of your hands are kind of goofy, so I'll hold off on using the "tr-ll" phrase yet, but my photobucket is ready...

Besides posting results and not getting the convertor to work what am I doing wrong? The reason I post the hands I do is b/c I think I'm doing something wrong. Thats probably why they look goofy. I didnt think I was suppose to post the perfectly played ones.

Very few poker hands are played perfectly, but that is because poker is a game of incomplete information.
Anyways, for this particular hand, you should raise preflop to about 350-400, then play poker on the flop. The reason you would do this is to pump up the pot while you are likely ahead and to give bad odds to hands like Ax and Kx that might call you are draw out. Simply calling a min-raise will entice the button/blinds to come along for the ride, which decreases your pot equity (basically, the chances you have of winning the pot). Again, you ARE rooting for Ax/Kx/other trash to call preflop! |

I think I mentioned this briefly earlier that I was kind of hoping the guy to my left would raise, then I was going to push when it got back to me. But it didnt work out that way.

[/ QUOTE ] Many players at the $1 level are complacent enough to take a flop instead of re-raise. I woul dnot count on a raise behind you in this situation. If you were in EP and you limped, hoping to re-raise (which you shouldn't be doing in $1 tournaments), the play is more justified, but not in this situation. |
