Hi, I'm Johan ... you can call me "Commander Giraffe" ....

I'm a somewhat grumpy, mediocre tournament player who's been around this forum long enough to be the great-grandfather of most or you young guys ... my specialty is spending hours dragging very small stacks very close to the bubble, or - on my good days - very close to the FT bubble.

Oh yes ... my goal for life(*): FT'ing WSOP Senior's Event when I'm old enough to enter ... which would be in 3 years, unless Harrah's move the series back to late July/August ...

EDIT:
*: "... for my poker life, that is, now that I have a beatiful wife, a more than just decent job and a cool terraced Manhattan penthouse ... well, a nice condo in the "Cosmopolitan" next to the Bellagio is in close contention, of course ..."

My name is Rob. I can be found in AC at the Taj or the Borg. I mostly just observe but would like to start posting more actively as I begin to participate in the larger tournaments.

You can recognize me as the one not wearing sunglasses who is 3 barrelling trash OOP.

Hi my name is Albert. Long time lurker - serious student of the game. Playing NL tourn poker for 4 years now (40 hrs/wk). Prefer online since it eliminates people reading skills from the equation. Did quite well last year at Paradise mostly $200-$320 buy ins and less than 50 entrants (Atlantic, Laguna, etc). Currently still trying to find similar results in larger tourneys at different sites since the Paradise shut down to U.S. plyrs ($%$#@).
If anyone knows of similar tourneys (2500 starting chips/ 20 min lvls/small number of entrants) let me know.

Hey I'm Jonathan and I'm pretty much act like an egotistic mini Phil Hellmuth even though I know it's bad. A couple decent donkament finishes is all I really have to my name. Decent golfer, used to play AJGA and all that stuff in high school, except I was never able to get over a two plane swing that I had and was consistiently inconsistient.

In summary:

Basically, I'm known as a choker under pressure.

Hi, my name is Chuck

I've been playing poker since 1968 and I still suck. My mantra is "If you don't bet, they can't fold"

Played my first live tourney about 6 years ago, chopped top prize money 3 ways and was hooked. Haven't one won yet, but there's still hope. Best win was 4th in a Step 5 on PArty where I knocked out Gigabet.

You kids quit playing on my lawn!!!

Regards

Gar

My name Randy, and I just satellited into the "Arizona Poker Championship" a $1k event that will be my biggest tournament ever. Since I rarely get to play tournaments due to two very young daughters, I'm reading the tourney forums to improve my game. Normally I play $5-150/$10-150 spread limit live at CasinoAZ, though I used to multi-table limit and SNGs in another life time.

What I learned from my satellite is that they don't call, so if you push every hand eventually you win. I'm want to be less predictable for the APC, so I plan to push just every other hand.

Andy here. Also known as the other MTT mod, non-emo mod, or the better looking mod take your choice.

Haven't been around the strat forums as much lately but will be more active again now. I'm pretty sure my MTT results have dropped in direct correlation with MTTc being created which is actually the main reason.

Brewers are going to win the NL Central!

phatcat,
