1$ 412 people, about 30 mins in with QQ
The guy that pushes has pushed the previous two hands pf,
First time AKo, second time KK. The guy to my left is a loose donkey that has called all ins with K3o. He keeps telling people he will dirtnap them. Those are the only reads Whats the play? Re: 1$ 412 people, about 30 mins in with QQ
I thought about raising pf, but I figured he would just push
with any hand he thinks he'd have an advantage with. He had pushed the previous two hands with monsters |

Re: 1$ 412 people, about 30 mins in with QQ
bad preflop play; raise 400-500
dont afraid to be pushed. u already have the monster; and then in tourney there is about 70 hands maximum in your stage (i mean u've already played just 70 hands as maximum). you get the really monster (kk or AA) every 145 hands ; he has got KK already actually you should look someone to push with such cards as played, you have to fold there, utg probably have the TT or another trips. Maybe he is not but he raised all in with such low pot and you not commited to call that so early. let it go, fold if we are talking about game with 400 blinds this is easy call |

Re: 1$ 412 people, about 30 mins in with QQ
But what if he fold to my raise pf b/c I've been playing tight? Then what if hes pushing with just hitting the board? Since he just showed both those dominant hands, its not possible that hes trying to steal this one?

PF is a reraise everytime and call a shove.
On the flop you call the shove everytime. |

I know I should have raised and I almost did, then I just felt
like I should call and see what happened on the flop. An A on the flop and the donk to my left is in the lead for sure. He would have called a pf shove with Ax. Maybe even Kx. He was talking about the dirtnaps remember :P |

I hope you understand how silly that sounds. You have the best hand here waaaaay more than not. You should be getting money into the pot. |

Re: 1$ 412 people, about 30 mins in with QQ
I'm saying that if A or K hits I get out cheap. If it misses either or both are likely to bluff. No matter what I raise the donk to my left is going to call either with an A or K so if it hits I'm pretty much done anyway.

Re: 1$ 412 people, about 30 mins in with QQ
Uh, raise preflop? You want to get as many chips into the pot as possible. You WANT callers with Ax or Kx, etc. because more often than not you will win the pot!
Calling to see what happens on the flop is a terrible strategy most beginners employ with JJ-KK and AJ-AK. You want to get as many chips as possible in before the flop so you can win a big pot when you do have the best hand and your opponent misses. If you hold QQ and you KNOW villian is going to call with Ax, you do understand that there are only 3 aces in the deck, and there is about ~ an 18% chance an ace will flop? Think of all the nice sized pots you win when you raise and they miss. Not to mention when you raise, they push, you obviously call, and you win a huge majority of the time!!!! Wow, chips!!! |
