6max WCOOP sat - QQ on tiny board after being re-raised pre
1500FPP sat to the opening WCOOP event. We're playing 6-handed.
Down to about half of the field. I'm about 11/56. 11 seats up for grabs. Villain is a pretty average 6-handed player, he's in quite a lot of pots. Seems a tad weak. Playing TT-QQ with the tiny board against an aggressor is a big leak in my game at the moment. Flop/Turn are good though, right? |

Re: 6max WCOOP sat - QQ on tiny board after being re-raised pre
I don't like the river bet - if his re-raising range in 1010+ AQ+ then you are beating precisely 2 hands in his range, so just check.
Beatings 1010, JJ (12 hands) Tieing with QQ (1 hand) Losing to KK, AA (12 hands) Losing to AQ, Ak (20 hands) i.e definitely behind more than you are ahead. I also might be raising a bit more on the flop - your giving him almost 2 to 1, and if hes got AK, hes now got 10 outs. Raise enogh to give 1 to 1 odds, say 1600. 1010 and JJ are paying you off here anyway, and your stuffed by AA and KK anyway. |

Re: 6max WCOOP sat - QQ on tiny board after being re-raised pre
I don't think it's that likely he has AK/AQ/AA on the river here. Can't see him checking a straight on the turn and river. So I thought those hands were unlikely.
I think his reraising range could be a little looser here too, maybe including 99. Even then, I only think I'm gaining a slither of value out of the bet on the end. Think I'm better just checking it down there. If say the turn was an offsuit Jack, and he bets 2k... can I get away from this hand? |
