For those who don't like the preflop call, how deep would you need to be to make the call?

[/ QUOTE ]

That's not really relevant.

[/ QUOTE ]

Of course it's relevant. If stacks are 1000bb deep...you can practically play ATC in position against this guy.

you probably frustrate a ton of people and can manipulate them well, but you can't actually claim you are making money in this spot. Rest of ssnl with 100-150bb should be folding.

Hmmm. Strongly disagree. Just because 27o can flop trips does not mean you are ever going to take his stack without a ridiculous cooler or ever even a particularly big pot tbh.

I said "practically"...obviously fold the pure garbage. And this guy is 40/11...how can you honestly say we won't ever win a big pot off him? These guys are almost always terrible and take marginal hands way way too far.

thin value? huh give an example of a spot you can get thin value with QJ on?

Say the flop is J22. You could call flop/float turn or bet river when he checks for "thin value" but that value is just so thin because its hard for him to call with hands like 99/TT and he doesn't have JT that often (you basically only beat 3 hands you could valuebet against and lose to like 6 hands).

Pure garbage is all relative to hand ranges. QJo doesn't play particularly well against a 40/10's utg range, but I don't hate a call either, but I'm folding generally.

On the river folding is laughably. bad

preflop is terrible, i fold there

pretty sure i fold the flop too

dont raise the turn, just call

river i have no real answer... i definitely dont think folding is as bad as some people are making it out to be with an overbet like that

i don't understand why it took so many posts in this thread for this sense to arrive.

i was going to make the same point - fold preflop, fold the flop.

however, i can't imagine ever the fourth nuts on the river to a 40/11. (the royal flush, AQ and AA are the only hands that beat you)
