Please clarify this for me, do you pay a time charge + rake? I don't go above 3/6 until I've logged a bit more time in B&M. Am I better off at the 2/5 in Brantford, or the 2/4 at TurningStone, given equal driving times? TS seems to have a large rake, but no time charge except for $2 per day poker room charge, and there is 5 - 8 to see the flop.

And there is rake for 2-5 and 5-10, its 10% max 5. 10-20 and higher has time charge but no rake.

For 2-5 and 5-10 at Brantford, it is a rake up to $5.00 of the pot. For higher games, it is a time charge (sorry I don't remember the exact amount...somewhere in the range of 5-7 dollars per half hour).

Yes it's really dumb, you have to have this poker club card. It's like a member card that you have to buy every day when you first get chips and you keep it with you when you play. But that said, it's a huge poker room with sweet action, 3.5 hours drive from my place in Ottawa if you don't count the border crossing time.

And as for brantford time charge, its $5/half hour for 10-20, $6 half hour for 20-40, and $9 half hour for 50-100.

This is pretty off-topic, but I just saw a picture of Tuan Lam for the first time, and I knew he was from Missisauga or whatever, and I recognized him from somewhere so I asked my buddy who is a 50-100 regular at brantford, and he said that tuan does in fact play there all the time, and was offering chunks of himself at 5% each, which worked out to $240k or so. Nice little return on investment for the people who did buy some of his action.

Turningstone is 1/2 hour east of Syracuse on the I-90. They have 4 hotels, most, if not all, have a decent discounted poker rate, 2/4 limit is snuggle soft and the golf is amazing.

Is the 2/5 limit at Brantford just rake or is there a time charge?
