Looks good, except for this little detail:
"This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier."

I know there might be a good reason for this, but there just seems to be some edge towards the Big Company on this issue. This was my concern. Sure I would like to order from the dedicated company instead, in principle at least

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually, this is true of virtually all deliveries including those sent from Amazon. If your package is lost or damaged, you must seek compensation from the carrier (i.e. UPS or the USPS). The seller's liability ended when they dropped the package in the mail. Now that doesn't mean they won't send you another one as a good business practice, but you cannot win a lawsuit seeking damages against them unless the contract was designated as a destination contract in some way.

Ah good, the thread for pointing out errors. I was worried this might be some kind of review thread. Anyway, there is a "T" not capitalized near the bottom on that back cover. "Two Plus two" it says.

I suggest people wait for the second printing.

Gonso, This is all your fault - requesting the back cover image! OK - I'll take 20% fault for posting it without reading it as well.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, now there's a whole new review thread (with the authors participating), so everything will be fine. No big deal. The same people who cry about off-topic posts cry when you open a new thread.

Someone else is going to cry that they had to actually click their mouse a few extra times now.

Quite right, everything shipped is designated either Freight on Board Shipping, or FOB destination. This designates at what point transfer of ownership occurs. If the package is lost by the shipping company is liable, if you added insurance. It's not bad that they shipped it FOB shipping. It's just where they transfer ownership, and nothing is abnormal.

Yes might be - they just don't stress that point at Am (haven't seen it on their site).. And what I have heard from friends they do ship another copy if the first one doesn't get through. So basically just the practice is what I'm interested in..

Even the OP himself didn't really post a review. The reviews will come in once people start getting their copies in the mail, I promise. I can't imagine anyone who plays NLHE is waiting on reviews before buying this though...

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually, I am.

Table games are about to open up here (WV area) for the first time in September. I have never played in a casino before, and was all set to buy Angel Largay's book about small stakes live no limiit. But pretty much everybody in the world told me to wait for this book to come out. But, it just doesn't seem like it is geared towards me and what I want to accomplish...So I am waiting for reviews to see one way or the other.

We know about the error. It's also on Sit 'n Go Strategies, and in addition, we reprinted at the same time Harrington: Volume I and Harrington: Volume II and believe the same error is also there.

We'll get it corrected when we reprint.

Best wishes,
Mason

Boy, that 2 + 2 has some wonderful editing. According to MM this egregious mistake is present in 4 different volumes (he believes). Attention fanboys, please come and tell me how stupid I am to ridicule this absolutely atrocious and laughable error, on the cover, no less, OF FOUR F-ING DIFFERENT BOOKS.

[/ QUOTE ]

Read the thread on editing if you haven't. If this is truly the only place in the book where an editor or copy editor should have caught something then it is a laudable accomplishment. Regrettable that it is on the cover, but I doubt very many books from publishers of any size are 100% edit error free. And I am definitely NOT a fanboy.

NoFizzle I think PNL1 delivers what you want on several important subjects, but I would also read Largay's book.

Just received my copy in the UK, thanks to Professional Poker. Must be one of the first copies in Europe, I guess.
