Default NFL again extends F.A. start, now until Thursday

LINK

Teams must be under cap by 9 PM Weds.

Free agency begins at 12:01 AM Thurs.

IMO, this is a [censored] joke. What the hell is the point of a deadline if it's not really a deadline because everyone knows it's going to be extended?

The NFL is making a joke out of itself.

Why are they making a joke out of themselves? A new CBA will completely control the FA market. The market will be a ghost town if they open it up with no new CBA. It's a smart move by a greatly run league.

No. A joke is losing the World Series or Stanley Cup. The NFL is smart enough to get a deal done. It's freaking early March - there's really no huge cost to doing a deal next week.

Breaking news: Chris Mortensen (very reliable NFL reporter) just said on SportsCenter that there is a CBA agreement in principle.
