Pushing against a possible tilter
Villain was 68/9/0.8 for 31 hands.
He went to showtime everytime he played with very bad hands. Underpairs, bottom pair, middle pair bad kicker etc. The flop check was bad probably, but I got a little lost with my AKs (as often). I was planning to fold to a big bet probably (kinda nitty against this guy I think) Because he checked behind and I caught my flushdraw + I had a gutshot and some folding equity after het showed weakness checking behind on the flop I pushed the turn. Was the rr preflop good? How should I have played the flop? Was pushing on the turn the right thing to do? (I think it was but sometimes I'm losing my head in big pots so if you guys agree it would boost my confidence ). Re: Pushing against a possible tilter
Weird preflop from button, he calls the rereraise and then raises.
I like the isolation raise to 12 preflop. Flop is fine imo. Turn: Fine. I think wellplayed. |

Re: Pushing against a possible tilter
To above poster: What isolation raise? It was HU at that point
To OP: Post stack sizes at top, I don't want to have to calculate it I would have pushed it PF. As played, bad turn push. Please don't show the river. Crovax |

Re: Pushing against a possible tilter
Thanks for the feedback, sorry for not posting the stack sizes etc.
If he would have bet the flop for a reasonable amount, it would be an easy fold right? How would you play the turn crovax? I posted river instead of turn |

Re: Pushing against a possible tilter
I would just push ai preflop after buttons strange mini-reraise.
Behind of 22-AA and ahead of the rest. As played I would have bet the flop or turn if we checked the flop |

Re: Pushing against a possible tilter
Once Button cold-call/min-5-bets preflop, he's either being weird (possible) or he has a very strong hand. I think the flop check is fine. Folding to a push from Villain is probably also at least a consideration, but it sure is tempting to call, getting 5:2, with your overs + gutshot + backdoor flush. I mean, if he just has QQ, folding would be terrible, since you're not even a very big underdog versus that hand. So, hmm, you're in very bad shape if Villain has AA like his play sort of represents, but I think I'd call and hope for the best.
Turn, I dunno, I probably check again, but I'm calling any bet from Villain, including a push. You have no folding equity, but you're also not very far behind random PPs, so a bet is for value if hands like A8s and QJo make up enough of Villain's range. Earlier, the preflop raise/4-bet is good. So, overall, I think you played it fine. |

Re: Pushing against a possible tilter
I would have checked the turn.
By not showing the river, I also meant to include showing the button calling. Don't put in information that you don't know at that point in time. If your questioning your turn play, show your push, and end the post there, otherwise people will be thinking "hey, he hit his flush and villain called, what he did was all good" Crovax |

Re: Pushing against a possible tilter
I'm almost never pushing preflop with AKs in a cashgame.
Thinking I'm behind to AA or KK if called. That should be read dependant of course but I think that's kind of difficult to get on someone. That's a big leak I think because I'm getting myself into bigger trouble on the flop most of the time. |

Re: Pushing against a possible tilter
You're absolutely right. I should have customized the hand instead of just putting it in the hand converter and post it.

[ QUOTE ]
To above poster: What isolation raise? It was HU at that point [/ QUOTE ] Button just calls, this is a sign of weakness. He might fold to another raise. |
