.05/.1 Limp button with 53s? Cap flop?
Is this right, or do I fold (or raise?)? Cap flop is spew or no? Check behind turn good or bad?
Confused about this one... Re: .05/.1 Limp button with 53s? Cap flop?
Not enough callers to limp with 53s OTB.
I would just call the flop. I don't want BB 3 betting and potentially knocking UTG out and charging us the maximum. I also want to preserve our implied odds when we hit. Lastly, alot of villains will check the turn if they didn't hit the flop, so you might get a free card anyway. As played the flop cap doesn't really lose any money unless someone has a higher flush draw, however you lessen your implied odds if you hit. On the other hand you might get a free card. The problem is BB should be betting a blank turn when you cap the flop, since your hand looks alot like a draw, and he should probably check when a 3 flush card appears. This is the opposite of what you want to happen when you cap the flop. |

Postflop is good. |

I fold 53s PF 5-handed... is this 6-max?
postflop is great. |

Re: .05/.1 Limp button with 53s? Cap flop?
I don't play short-handed, I would call that with a couple of bets before me long-handed in the button. This is a highly speculative hand.
I would just call the 3-bet on the flop. The turn check is fine, you got your free card so take it. If these are weak-passive players you might bet to take the pot right there, but BB might raise if this is not the case. The river is a fold. You have nothing. |

Re: .05/.1 Limp button with 53s? Cap flop?
About the shorthanded comments, am I better off in full ring doing these things since I will have way more players in the pot? Except for medium pocket pairs I think I play post-flop well enough. Basically, can I expect less variance playing full ring?
