I'd fold. You can only push or fold (pretty much,at least) and you should give shorty a chance to bust.

Depending on how the two big stacks played, I'd be tempted to raise to 1,000 and fold to a push from the biggies, but play w/ the fellow shortie if need be. (the latter is obvious after raising to 1000)
If either of the biggies are loose/aggro / pushers/etc you get my point Here's a question: Anyone think the big stacks will give you credit for a stronger hand since your pushing on the shorties BB and tighten up? |

There is no standard play here. You should give some information on the texture of the table, the previous hands played, how aggressive you have been and how tight everyone else is. In some tournaments I might go all-in, others fold, and some make a 3x big blind raise. With little information it is hard to say what to do.

My first thought was easy fold, but my run of 4 and 5 finishes says don't take my advice.

When I see a player make this move I make an ugly face, think "horrible play, he doesn't know what he's doing", and write a note on them. Not being mean, I really do this. |

It's close, depends a lot on the small stack. A fold is probably the most prudent move, but I wouldn't fault a push either.

It's a push.
The button isn't liable to get involved without a real hand, and even the big stack's likely to give you some respect. The BB will call with a wide range of hands, I think. Even so, you make (a little) money pushing here. Having said that, you'll gett called almost 40%, and lose most of the time it happens. Push or fold are the only options, imo. |

Yeah the BB calling a wide range isn't too hot for you though if we put SB and button on, let's say, 10-12%. That's what makes it close.

I was torn. I knew BB would be calling me with a wide range. However, the other 2 stacks aren't feeling much pressure and I've seen it fold around to BB all too often in situations like this. Of course, he isn't in great shape with t1300 but I'm not in great shape with t2400 either. I've also seen players fold and leave themselves with 2 big blinds here often enough so that I thought I had at least some FE.
I ended up thinking for a minute and pushing. He called with KTo but I sucked out. |
