Re: b3b v c/r
I hate checkraising
doing it with a decent hand lets your opponent play against you correctly doing it as a bluff doesn't give you good odds doing it as a semibluff leaves you in a bad spot on the turn pretty often due to stack sizes and pot size doing it with a big hand lets your opponents play against you correctly (by folding) IF they realize that you don't want to do it with any other types of hands so in other words it's really hard to balance it's much easier to balance your ranges when taking other lines... and just making sure that one reasonable bet goes in on each street is often the most value you can hope to extract anyway against anyone who doesn't suck (unless they also have a huge hand, in which case they help you get all the money in) |

Re: b3b v c/r
[ QUOTE ]
On a related note, I have pretty much abandoned any hope of successfully using the b3b line in the 100NL game. There are very few players that I feel like I can count on a raise out of if I donk into them, regardless of the size of my bet. On the other hand, lots of players will call a good sized check raise and then just give up on the next st. Guess I didn't really have anything of substance to add here...just a general observation on the 100NL game (specificaly at Full Tilt). Anyone have similar experiences? Do I just super-suck at picking spots for the b3b? [/ QUOTE ] Obvious point: if everybody calls you first barrel and folds to your second barrel when you try to b/3b, you should be firing two barrels at them with nothing. |
