Glad to see Ticket to Ride got a couple of mentions, although my brother-in-law takes it WAY too seriously.

Odd that a bunch of baseball games were mentioned and one of them wasn't Strat-o-Matic (I also played the hockey, football, and basketball versions).
My dad had a ton of old games like that - Strat, Pursue the Pennant, Paydirt!. He also had a bunch of obscure sports games. I don't remember all the titles, but APBA golf, some horse racing game, some marathon running game, etc. Many hours of my childhood was spent digging through said games and playing them (sometimes with my bro or friends, sometimes by myself). My family has been big on Catch Phrase, we usually play it when we get together. Monopoly and Risk were staples for me and my friends. There was a Games Workshop game called Wrasslin! that was fun. We also had a lot of fun with a bad Star Wars VHS/board game. I'm forgetting a bunch of stuff. |

RISK was always my fave. World domination is the bomb, yo.
I also used to love Masterpiece - you'd try and steal famous paintings or something... |
