if he is a coach i am sure he is real good at 6 max since u can maximize ur profit there if you are good

he used to focus on fullring after moving from live to online

IIRC, he's doing quite well at the 200NL and 400NL 6max games the last few months

How do you guys do your session reviews? Do you look through PT, looking at biggest losses, biggest wins etc?? Do you look through every hand via PT? Do you pull up the raw hand text file? Do you print it out?

How often do you review your sessions?

I typically just go through the biggest pots but i also have notepad open so i can just note any hands i specifically want to look at.

I usually review at the end of every day but i haven't done it in the last week as it's harder to motivate myself if i am running like a god and killing it

After every session I take the time to review it. Especially if it was a losing session. I review the HH's of every hand where I lost more than a standard openraise + cbet (at 200NL, typically every hand where I lost more than $20). I also look at every big pot I won to see if I potentially missed some value there. I add up all mistakes to see how much money I would have won if I played those hands better (as far as I know when some plays are good or bad). If I think I found a leak, I write it down in a textfile.

I've been doing this ever since I got PT and I think it improved my game a lot.

Is it a bad idea to have a daily $ goal instead of a hands goal? So often Ill find my self winning a few buyins early in the day and then giving them all back later and wishing id just stopped after winning them.

i have notepad open during my session, and paste interesting hands while i play. those are the first hands I review after my session.

then i review my biggest winners and losers for the day, try to determine if I could have won more/lost less in those hands.

once or twice a week i'll review entire sessions hand by hand...this is obviously too tedious to do for every session.

i think a mistake most players make is that they don't review their winning sessions...i'm of course guilty of this.

i have the exact same problem, today i was +4 buyins after 250 hands, had a break, did another 450 hands and gave it all back. i try to aim for 1000 hands a day, but i seem far more profitable in the first couple of hundered hands of a day.
