Yikes. I honestly see NO way of getting away from this, like none....however, a 15/12 betting betting betting is usually a set of 7s.

Yeah, so call anyway.

It seems like a very defensive bet trying to protect his hand. He probably would raise 99 PF, can't see him playing a straight like this (unless it was a SB or blocking bet on the flop). However, 2 pair is a likely hand here too. Can't raise him, just have to call. You played it fine.

What did he have?

Well if you call the turn you can't fold the river.

I'm not sure if you should raise the turn or not. It depends on how he plays postflop, but ya idk. You played it fine.
