Axs in SB vs button raise
What do you do, call raise or fold? I tend to mix it up between calling and raising, maybe calling 80% of the time and raising 20%. I'm never folding unless the raise is bigger than normal.
Reason I ask is because I saw a post in the highstakes forum where someone had posted a hand where he had called PF in SB vs Buttonraiser with A3s and I think it was two respectable posters who said fold preflop wtf??! Oh yeah, this is 2-4 and 3-6 NL I'm talking about. Lower than that I'll just repop it 100% of the time |

Re: Axs in SB vs button raise
Totally depends on your image, who raised, etc.
Folding vs an unknown is standard oop. |

Re: Axs in SB vs button raise
I rather raise than call and rather fold than raise.

Re: Axs in SB vs button raise
seems like an easy fold, why do you want to play a bad hand oop when you only have 1/200th of your stack in ?

I also don't think position is that important in the stakes we play, since there is rarely any floating or setting up of bluffs going on. I am more inclined to play Axs from SB vs Button steal than from button vs UTGraiser. Does this make sense? This is obv 6max btw. |

Re: Axs in SB vs button raise
fold, and thinking position is not important is ridiculous

[/ QUOTE ]Em......huh? is this online? What site? [ QUOTE ] I am more inclined to play Axs from SB vs Button steal than from button vs UTGraiser. Does this make sense? [/ QUOTE ]It makes in the sense that you say the strength of your hand as compared to his distribution matters more than the positional disadvantage. I don't think it's true though it could be in some more or less realistic scenarios. |

Thing that annoys me most is when multitabling LAG grinders (like myself) raise the button and Im sitting there with Axs in SB, which I am sure most of the time is a better hand than his, I am just gonna give it up and let him have the blinds? Another followup question that I have is Axs SB vs BB when folded to, raise everytime no? I also raise more when playing SB to BB than i normally do... |

Re: Axs in SB vs button raise
He can profitably raise a lot from the button into the blinds for a reason, and you should fold this type of hand because of that same reason. Position always matters.
