I originally calculated 40% chance for the division over the next 10 years. The only reason I think it could be lower is if I underestimated BOS or NYY shots of winning the division each year.

Understood that, too - I think the number I came up with (via the scientific four beers wtf method) was 10-1.

But this thread veered off that path about fifty posts ago.

OTOH - if the Rays are 10-1 or so for the World Series in the next 10 years, how have the Cubs managed to avoid winning it for 98 years.....the mind boggles...

I can't believe the amount of ppl in this thread that can look at longoria/brignac/crawford/baldelli/delmon and think that they can't possibly ever contend for the WS in the next 4 years.
