That clause is ONLY in there to prevent collusion. For example, it's 3-handed, Players A and B are going butt-crazy over ANOTHER pot, player C folds TPTK, and Player A bows out of the pot to reduce the amount of chips raked.

That's what this ruling exists for --- you're accusing the opponent of cheating if you ask to see his hand.

Player 1 is a donk - I would personally show my hand, keep him dumb ass around, and let him bleed chips all over the table. You don't have to show you hand, but poker isn't just about the cards [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
