NL25 J,J overpair multiway
I know looking back I played this terribly, but the one situation where I completely turn to jelly is when I have an overpair to the board, such as below.
What is the best way to deal with the situation below, only been at the table for 3 orbits, no reads. It seems everytime i'm in a situation like this I always play timid for fear of a pair higher than mine or a set. Texas Hold'em $0.25-$0.25 NL (Real Money), #609,187,614 Table Ajnac's HE, 19 Jul 2007 3:19 PM ET Seat 1: Thx4UrCash ($6.45 in chips) Seat 3: mista.mo ($21.65 in chips) Seat 7: i_m_fletcher ($23.25 in chips) Seat 8: foldaaja10 ($19.35 in chips) Seat 9: r_b00z ($57.80 in chips) Seat 10: DonkaholicZ ($26.15 in chips) ANTES/BLINDS r_b00z posts blind ($0.15) DonkaholicZ posts blind ($0.25). Dealt to i_m_fletcher (Jh, Js) PRE-FLOP Thx4UrCash folds, mista.mo bets $0.50, i_m_fletcher bets $1.50, foldaaja10 calls $1.50, r_b00z folds, DonkaholicZ folds, mista.mo calls $1. FLOP [ 6h, 4s, 9d ] mista.mo bets $2, i_m_fletcher calls $2, foldaaja10 calls $2. TURN [ 2s ] mista.mo bets $4, i_m_fletcher folds, foldaaja10 calls $4. RIVER [ 7h ] mista.mo bets $3, foldaaja10 calls $3. |

Re: NL25 J,J overpair multiway
Why would you ever fear an overpair here?
This is a very very weak turn fold...I raise the flop to 7 bucks |

I think it's down to previous bad experiences that I shouldn't dwell on.

Re: NL25 J,J overpair multiway
My actions would be as follows - Preflop: raise to $2, flop: raise to $7-9, turn: get it allin. Folding this on the turn is horribly weak-tight.
