fwiw I think this is a fold 100% of the time.. I dont think these players are that tricky to bluffraise here

ALSO, I only advocate a check call on river if you

a. Have a read on your opponent that you're not telling us.
b. Have seen him bluff at pots like this already.
c. Are getting the right express/implied odds.

In this spot though, it is a fold.

what i meant was that i think checking river (not, bet/calling) loses value because it goes check/check alot. i'm not calling the raise, because it's never a bluff. so that's what i meant.

I feel like you've almost priced your way into calling his shove. Looks like the pot is offering about 3:1 and you've got a decent hand in a blind battle. He's decently aggressive, so a lot of the hands he has that beat you I would also figure to have seen a raise from somewhere earlier. If this wasn't a blind battle, I'd be more inclined to b/f the river. As is, though, even if you lose, I just don't think it's that big a mistake. I don't think he needs to think he's bluffing all the time for you to be ahead.

Ugh... What about folding preflop? Your OOP with a marginal hand, that also is likely to be a fairly good second best hand, if dominated.

Sure he is, but why does he HAVE TO play this hand? My experience with small offsuit aces isn't too good, especially OOP.
So again: why play this hand at all?

Fold preflop. Or just complete. I hate raising with a hand like this, even if it is just b vs b, because I'm not excited about any flop unless I flop 2p+.

As played, I'm making my normal c-bet on the flop (usually 3-3.5$ for me). Then I'm chk/calling the turn and chk/folding the river to any decent bet if villain bets both streets.

If villain chks behind on turn I'm making about a 3/4s pot bet on river and folding to a raise. If played like this, I'm expecting to get called by a lot of worse hands on river and getting raised by better hands.
