Default folding AK after all-in reraise preflop

UTG is 40/20/1.00 over 120 hands.

I think when I could take the initiative i would have gone all-in myselve(probably when someone else raised to $4.) But now facing this i folded.

any suggestions on this play?

greetings,
Rob

Well, he looks like the type of guy who is aggressive pf, but is a station post flop. Correct me if I'm mistaken.

I mean his range could be really wide here based on his stats, I would call his all in here I think. I think he has quite a wide range.

Seems fine to me.

Capone, how are you calling 120BB here without better reads or some kind of history of pre-flop 3/4-betting? Just because he's quite laggy pre-flop in general doesn't mean he's shoving with a range you're ahead of here.

I absolutely hate AK. It's my least favorite hand. I never win with it, and i have lost an obscene amount of money playing it.

That said, you should fold.

not really, i don't go crazy with it, i just never seem to hit a flop with it

Typical hand:

Raise preflop

J97 flop

C-bet, opponent calls

4 on turn

check or double barrel, opponent checks/calls

2 on turn

check, opponent checks

opponent wins with pair of nines

yeah lol you are over-valuing it then by second barreling. When you don't flop anything c-bet headsup and then let it go if called and you dont improve.

I don't think your getting good enough odds to call this. Your likely in a coinflip situation at best. If you were able to push, the added fold equity would make it alot closer.
