Re: NL 25/50 - Rivered my fullhose but WTF?!?!
Anyone here like a 1/2-pot (or little higher) bet on the turn? Relatively cheap way to find out where you're at, and it probably takes it down a good % of the time since no one's shown any strength so far and you're repping a Q or 9.

its an easy fold, this is a slowplay so often, a bluff so rarely

Re: NL 25/50 - Rivered my fullhose but WTF?!?!
Looks like a QQ line. The flop is not super draw-heavy, and he could be looking to c/r a bet and caller(s) now, or waiting until the turn to bet out. His check on the turn is very suspicious too. I doubt he would risk a r/r with just a 9 or straight. Its a tough decision, especially getting 2:1 to call, but I think you fold it (although I might not be able to online in 60 secs).

I think this is a fold. Looks like QQ or 99 to me. He could have checked the flop hoping for someone to bet. No one bet and on the turn and now he has either has the nuts or 2nd nuts, so he is checking again hoping for a bet. Then the river comes and he can check no more, so he makes a very weak bet hoping you will do exactly what you did. I could be wrong, but I really dont see him doing this without a hand better than 55. [/ QUOTE ] agree. fold |

Re: NL 25/50 - Rivered my fullhose but WTF?!?!
If I take a first look, it seems like a "so obvious" slowplay. --> FOLD.
Standard Raise, giving him a range including [66,QQ and all PP>66, less likely Q9s and 99 or X9 stuff] Raise pf, C,C, 1/2 Pot, Raise AI is a strange betting pattern. With 2 behind, I donīt check a set on a drawy board, giving [78, J10] another free card. He wasnīt facing any agression PF and gets no action on the flop and the turn. River: 1/2 Pot, looking like value/suck bet. A simple pot-raise seems to weak and looks like a steal to me. I either call or shove the river. Anyway, now we have to make a decision, youīre getting almost 3,1 on a full-house. I call, but I donīt like it... |
