Default shape up posters!

How come so many hands posted here contains no reads on the players? I think discussing hands without any read what so ever is not optimal, when we try to improve our game. I prefer that a read is made up if you don't have one just for the sake of discussion rather than just stating, "new at table", "first orbit" or "just sat down". Could we agree on not posting hands with no reads at all?

You often have to play against unknown so it does improve your game if you learn how to play against someone youve never seen. What we could do is discussing what the best play against unkown is. For example if we assume he is TAG we lose value against fish, if we assume he is fish we give up too much value against TAGs.

The problem is that the discussion then often is about what a standard player is, wich differs from limit to limit and site to site... And you're certainly playing more against villains you have some reads or information about than totally unknowns, thus it should be more valuable to learn how to play against them?

I find the most difficult hands for me are when I have no reads, so I believe it's beneficial to post readless hands.

I agree that it can be hard to play against unknown. But I don't agree that it helps much to post those hands here. They are still unknown...

I usually find that when I'm posting a hand in which I have a reasonable read on the villains, by the time I've put my read into words, the right play becomes obvious. I then decide against making the post.

If others have the same experience then that would go some way to explaining the relatively high proportion of readless hand posts.
