Hypothetically speaking, KappaSig is right about the Pony. I hear the dances are quite good there but not PP good. Of course this is only hypothetical because I'd never go to a strip club.

BJJ, the purple church is still closed as previous posters have said, but alot of the same girls have supposedly moved to The Pony, which is on Winchester just off Getwell.

I disagree with the Rendezvous bashing, I think it is some of the best BBQ in Memphis (however, I wouldn't drive 400 miles for it and I agree it is somewhat overhyped to famous visitors). Neely's Interstate BBQ hasn't been mentioned yet, I would be sure to check it out as well. AWESOME bbq and cheaper than Corky's and Rendezvous.

Good luck while you're here. I'd check out Southland while you're here, it is VERY easy money, much easier than Tunica. And you'll get a kick out of the "regulars". One lady believes that in a two way pot, no one wins (because of the rake), so there is no reason to bet, regardless of how good your hand is.

you can get a comp for Nawlins through the Horseshoe poker room. They give each player that has a players card 2 comps of $15 each, so if you and a buddy go you can get $60 in comps and pretty much eat for free.

you are definitly missing out on something if you didnt know about that. Its definitly a Tunica secret.

had absolutely no idea.

You know I wasn't sure if they'd do this but I was talking to my wife about it and I couldn't figure out why they wouldn't do it. Since they are willing to give you the $15 or $30 if you say 2 when they ask "for 1 or 2", the comp money is the same...why do they care where you eat. Again, I never asked, but it makes total sense that they would do it.

Good info. Thanks

This was my idea!

I told the brush there about two years ago that if they give a $10 comp to the snack bar, they should be able to give a $10 comp to the steakhouse. He said at the time the policy was that they could only comp at the snack bar, because they couldn't afford to comp to the fancy places. I pointed out that $10 is $10; he agreed. Hopefully that started a series of events leading to this good decision (which surprises me considering it happened after harrah's took over).

Well I just got back from Tunica with my buddy and everything went as planned. We both came back winners, so that was good. One of us was a bigger winner than the other, but the details will come with the TR that will come later.

We went to Nawlins with the comps as planned, but we were given 1 comps ($15) per person not 2 and Nawlins went up on their prices as well, but it was still pretty reasonable for that good of a meal.

The Shoe always feeds me so well, I am usually not hungry on the way home and I hate to stop on the way down because that subtracts from poker.

thread Hijack but what about New orleans Manor in Nashville, TN? I heard it is the bomb and a must visit for a Jedi Buffet Master.

[/ QUOTE ]

New Orleans Manor is my wife's favorite. The food is excellent and for non-seafood lovers they have prime rib and a spinach lasagne out of this world on the buffet. Also for a buffet they have unbelievable service.

One time we went and my wife's arm was in a cast making it difficult for her to open the crab legs. Our waiter cracked and opened them for her.

For a while we went frequently as business took me to Nashville about once a month. Things changed and it was almost 5 years before we got back. I had called for reservations and when we got there I asked if Steve was still working so we could be seated in his section. The host looked at her lists and said "Well, Steve noticed your name on the lists and had already requested that we be seated in his station." I was amazed after a 5 year abscense.

Yes, but the steakhouse has limited capacity, and they want it for their high revenue generators. The internal distribution of revenues, profit/loss, and expensing goes into that consideration. You do not want white and red chip
sloppy hippy looking poker players crowding the casino's top restaraunt. If you are playing green chip blinds NL or black chip limit, there is USUALLY an unpublished, un publicized comp schedule.
