50NL -- I hate this spot with KK
Newish at table, can't find HH, but I'll do it from memory.
Saw SB make one stupid move earlier. Don't remember what it was exactly, but it was enough for me to note that I had at least a bad player there. I have KK on btn, folded to me I raise $2, SB calls and BB folds. Flop QJJr. SB donks small, $2 and I raise to $8. SB calls. Pot is $20 or so. Turn 9, puts potential flush draw out. Villain donks $10. Hero... (30 behind, villain covers) |

Call flop, reevaluate turn. Why did you raise there?

Re: 50NL -- I hate this spot with KK
Aaargh, I realized belatedly that I wrote the flop wrong. It was JTTr. Turn 9.
AJ -- why would you call if opponents range is pp, Jx, Tx, or draw. I'm getting value from two to three of those and behind one of them that will probably push and I'll fold. The 9 on the turn worries me a lot, but I've got the KQ blockers, severely reducing that part of his range, and it improved QJ enough to make a donk like that. If I just call I'm inviting a 5 or more out hand to continue with infinite odds most of the time, as opposed to letting a 2 or 3 outer hang themselves. I think this would apply to the QJJ or JTT, but obviously the QJJ is slightly more dangerous for trips. It's these semi-wet boards(lots of broadway straight draws) that give me more problems than anything else -- I don't know whether I'm dominated or not making a draw (including 5 outers) pay for drawing out. |

WHy do you say call flop? [/ QUOTE ] If you raise then IMO he mostly folds everything but trips. |
