Re: NL50 - Bottom Set on a monotone board in a mw pot

FIVE players in pot pf. [/ QUOTE ] Thats why I folded here. Not worth 100 BBs imo. I think villain was protecting a weak flush. Just wanted to know if that might have been too nitty. A call would have been better in this spot I think. What does "BS" mean? |

FIVE players in pot pf. Also, NEVER GO BROKE IN AN UNRAISED POT!!! [/ QUOTE ] So, you're always looking for the stonecold nuts in an unraised multiway pot in order to stack off? I think the rule isn't BS, but it sure isn't a shame to go broke in an unraised pot either. It just reminds us to be a little more carefull before stacking off because handranges are wider in unraised pots. Maybe it should be more like "Think twice before stacking off in an unraised pot" or "Don't go broke too often in an unraised pot" or... well, you get the idea |

Re: NL50 - Bottom Set on a monotone board in a mw pot
With 33 I'd instacall.
22 = turbomuck unless you had a read that SB would raise any pair pf. A 25/10 would probably just complete with 33 here. I raise pf with 22 on the button too. |

Re: NL50 - Bottom Set on a monotone board in a mw pot
Is the difference really that big between bottomset and middleset to turbomuck one and instacall the other?

Is the difference really that big between bottomset and middleset to turbomuck one and instacall the other? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah for sure. We can pretty much eliminate TT from his range cos someone with those stats would raise pf pretty much every time. The only hands a decent tight player is likely to shove on this flop are a set or a made flush. He might go crazy once in a while with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Tx or something but he'll never have 2 pair on this board. If we had 33 then 22 would be decent part of his range and he'd be drawing to one out. |

My question would be what what we put MP on? Flush as well? Top pair, Ad kicker? I think the range we put MP on is essential [/ QUOTE ] It was actually so essential that MP got all nervous and folded. [ QUOTE ] WHAT HAPPENED? [/ QUOTE ] You Sir, are being result oriented. |

Re: NL50 - Bottom Set on a monotone board in a mw pot
People, don't tell me you fold because you think he has the bigger set in a 6max game. Just don't.
Against a made flush hero is getting the money odds for a call. It's pretty much break even but nowhere near a fold. If SB really had a made flush here, he'd probably slowplaying it against OP's raise. I think you see 23o and AA,KK here a lot. |

Re: NL50 - Bottom Set on a monotone board in a mw pot
I dont even have to read the whole thread to post this response. No one here is folding a set, and if you are youre leaving money on the table. Its really that simple. What happens when you fold your set and see two pair and the A of diamonds. And for those who say you will never see two pair here, welcome to uNL, you see things here that you probably would never even imagine. No one has ever heard of someone limping T3 or T2 at a uNL table?
