thanks dude, also I'm pretty sure that my planner in Canada would have alerted me to this, but she has been know to have the odd joint and might have forgotten about that. However I'm inclined to believe you and also, since I posted my last message I had to check in people from Toronto and they said it would be amazing with the colors in September.

-edit- Oh and I'm in charge of hotels in Niagara, anyone got any pointers, needs to be good - very good. I don't mind [censored] accommodation when traveling, but I'm not this time, this time I'm playing poker so everything needs to be good. Looking for a place with 24 hour service, dry cleaning, breakfast in bed and stuff like this, I also don't mind paying for it.

So any pointers on accommodation in Niagara Falls (maybe even Ontario since I'll be need them later on in the trip I imagine, don't know where or when as the only concrete plans now are poker and then hockey on Tuesday the 18th and then I'll stay at a friends house.

The Hilton is across the street from Fallsview Casino. There is a connected indoor walkway from the hotel to the casino, and the suites at the hilton have a queen sized bed overlooking the falls and a separate bedroom with two double beds.

I agree with this, I love the hilton almost more then the casino me and the GF stay there all the time.

Every 10 minutes, I mean if you must get up or feel a need then do it but it seems a little much Remember dealers at B+M are a lot slower then on the computer

Don't go in September. Thats the month they turn off the falls for routine maintenance, and it kills the tourist flow into the casinos.

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you serious? please say you aren't...

I just did a quick Google search and all I could find relating to Niagara Falls and September was that it's is recommended to see that falls from mid may to mid September (I'm there 14,15,16 so basically mid sept).

So, unless I find something else about this I'll continue planning my poker trip, if that fails I'll just be a tourist.

It's often frozen by the end of September, so you're banking on a coin flip right now, I'd say. Good luck!

[/ QUOTE ]

Hey, don't pass on bad information. They would never schedule routine maintenance in a month where there were any possibility of the river freezing.

sorry, maybe I wrote it wrong.

10 minutes every one hour or so, so I'd play for about 40-60 minutes depending on how I run and then take a 10 minute break (I need a smoke every hour I think when I play poker)

just a side question, how much do people tip in general at restaurants and stuff (I'm really bad at tipping since tipping isn't done at all (almost, only foreigners do it, since they don't know). Hence why I usually tip way too much, just to be sure I'm not rude.

and thanks to everyone for helping me plan this trip. I'm sure it will be great. And thanks for the email Jason.

15% is normal, 20% if the service was noticably good.
