Re: FT100, 6m, AA on KQ reraised
I just shove flop.
There's straight draws and a flush draw, he'll snapcall with AQ. You're not getting any money out of him considering the rest of his 3betting range unless you don't want to, and it's going to be way harder to stack AQ by flat-calling. Being deceptive is not helpful when his range is so polarized on a board like this between strong enough to call a shove and relative air (like TT). |

Re: FT100, 6m, AA on KQ reraised
Why are is everyone under repping AA in places like this. We are 3betting light, and getting 3bet light all the time. I know we don't 4 bet aces to use deception, but what about going the other way. 4 betting with Aces, and other hands as well. (and it really helps to define his range if he calls the 4 bet).
Not that I think Neilso didn't play his hand great, its just a question. |

[/ QUOTE ] 4-betting let's him get away too easy. He's folding JJ, probably AK, and maybe even QQ. AT FT100, there is very little 4-betting. 4-betting between TAGs is almost always AK/KK/AA. Especially if there is very little history. |

Re: FT100, 6m, AA on KQ reraised
1. Great spot for a PF 4 bet. Turns out it would've helped on the flop.
2. The flop call is atrocious. It's a draw-heavy board that hit a bunch of hands you're beating, and a bunch you're not beating anymore. The only way you should flat call the flop is if you're going to fold to a turn bet (giving him credit for KK, QQ, and KQ). Problem is he can't check the turn with AK because there's too much out there. Your call just got you into a big guessing game. Call the flop with KKK or QQQ, not with 1 pair. |

[/ QUOTE ] Are you sure that quote applies to 4betting and not postflop action? In theory 4-betting AA is much better against someone who has a widish 3-betting range because therefore your 4-betting range should be even wider against him as well. |
