For some reason Bowa ran down the line WITH Cairo and sort of fell down/tripped on the lip of the grass when Cairo was tagged out. I'm not sure if he actually tripped or if he was just mad at himself for making a terrible call sending Cairo there with 0 outs. You ONLY send a guy there with no outs if he is 100% sure to score.

the send was ok. rios made an amazing charge of the ball and a great throw. i don't understand why cairo is running so far out of the baseline. it seems that he can slide under the tag if he is in front of home plate.

I think the send was fine, too... Rios came up with an absolute cannon, and Cairo just decided to not avoid Zaun, but run right into him, and prevent himself of having any chance to tag the plate. I don't really know why he didn't beat the throw in the first place, because the ball died pretty badly in the grass and Cairo's not THAT slow.

What I really loved was Cairo running into Zaun, missing home plate by a good half foot, and instantly looking at the up, giving him the safe sign. Gravy.

Absolutely incredible! That place was electric. After the game everyone was chanting "let's go Yankees!" all over the stadium. 8 back... I'M FEELIN IT!

Are there any other Yankee fans out there that like to consider them only 7.5 back because of the game in hand they have against the O's (up 8-6 in the 8th inning to be resumed at a later date)?
