Re: bankroll question
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] You can get by with 50 buyins or even less so long as you move up and down aggressively [/ QUOTE ] what do you mean with moving aggressively? [/ QUOTE ] meaning when you decide on the appropriate amount of swings that your roll/situation can handle, you act on it. For example (completely hypothetical), if you decide to play the 27s with 50 buy ins but say "as soon as I drop to 30 buy ins I move down to 16s and if I hit 100, move up", and adhere to that closely. |

Re: bankroll question
Obviously your requirement are not the same if you're 1 tabling from time to time with a massive ROI or if you multitable massively for a small ROI and you play for a living.
For 1st, 20 buy-in can be enough. For second, you'll prefer to have 100+. |

Re: bankroll question
[ QUOTE ]
i play 22$ with about 25 buy-ins (as i have cashed out already). I don't see a problem at all when you play concentrated and focussed your ROI should be high enough to compensate two or three non ITM games. [/ QUOTE ] You obviously have never had a downswing. Good luck when it comes. |

Re: bankroll question
From the FAQ -
[ QUOTE ] 200 would be preferable. For all serious players, 100 buyins is the standard, although there is nothing wrong with taking shots at a higher level with less. You can make adjustments for this depending on how willing you are to move down in stakes after a downswing. If you don't mind jumping around stakes, as few as 30-50 buyins might be enough. [/ QUOTE ] And we get a thread on it any way. And we get answers ranging from "200 buyins" to "25 buyins", which is pretty much exactly what the FAQ says, verbatim. If you're now asking questions about multitabling, then use the multitabling thread, which has already been linked to. |
