your question on the river is irrelevant b/c of how else you played the hand.

i like the flop check.

the turn needs to led out to... or c/r at least

2/3 to full pot on flop.

pot turn or check turn to let them catch up and maybe hit a pair so you can break them

overbet river.., only way you make money is to put money in pot.

why are you guys insisting on leading the flop... villain normally cbets with a wide range here, we should try to pick that bet up

yeah, checking this flop seems pretty standard. imo it's just a matter of whether we want to c/r the flop or c/c and save it for a later street.

i'm not sure about the flop as good arguements have been made on both sides but on the turn i think you need to get more money in the pot somehow.

Must bet turn, I repeat that you must bet the turn. If for some reason you don't please at least c/r. But I still don't see how you check the turn. If he doesn't bet the flop there is no reason to assume he is going to bet the turn. I think you are out tricking yourself. As far as the flop, I could go either way.

I fold river.

Yeah you gotta either bet the turn, or check raise, especially because the flush draw came. Unfortunately for you, it came. Villain could have easily semi-bluffed the turn and hit the flush on the river. Bold bet on paired board, but you played your hand so meekly he can't know you are very strong, and you can't put him on a hand. You have to fold the river, and realize this is why you don't play your hand that way.

If you were lucky you may have even saved some money here, because this is how donks tend to play JJ in this spot.

River is probably a fold. River overbets (when played like this) from donks are almost allways a strong hand and you beat like AJ.
