Let us have faith that if god exists he isn't pathetic.

[/ QUOTE ]

LMAO -- Let us pray: "Dear God -- if you exist, please don't be pathetic. Amen."

I could only stand 5 seconds of that delusional Dawkinsament.

Confirmation bias... or perhaps a variant of another type of cognitive bias.

He doesn't want to ruin his commentry on Dawkins by reading anything he writes or listening to anything he says. Too much risk he might not misunderstand it properly.

Sheer boredom. If people want their idiot videos watched they should get someone with an IQ of at least 12 to say something intelligent to start - you know, bait and switch.

You are either being intellectually dishonest, or are not aware of your cognitive bias. Either way, this confirms my suspicion that even if you aren't aware of it, you are seeking a way to stop believing irrational things. You just want to do it on your own terms so that in the end you can be proud about how smart you were to stop being stupid. I only know this, because I was the same way. In the end, it will probably have to be an emotional factor that gets you to reexamine your beliefs rationally. In the meantime, I think it is worthwhile for non-believers to keep pointing you in the right direction, so you know where to turn when you are ready. All the while, you may think you are doing the same for us.

What chance have I got when faced with such penetrating, unassailable logic?
