Re: Another Beckham/Cruise bodog prop
What if David Beckham doesn't play on the July 21st game? Currently, he's listed as day to day (ankle injury i believe).

Re: Another Beckham/Cruise bodog prop
Thought about that, but I think the bulk of the evidence suggests he'll play. The Galaxy are making a big deal about it, ESPN is bringing 19 cameras or whatever, it's against Chelsea, everyone will be watching. I don't think the Galaxy will let this chance go to waste easily, even if he just comes on as a substitute for 15 minutes.
Also, there's a game a couple days after, I think it's a North American Champions League game. Cruise would have to be released from his movie somewhere in that window of 3-6 days for the injury to matter. Doesn't seem that likely...certainly doesn't help though. |

Re: Another Beckham/Cruise bodog prop
Bad news today, the Galaxy coach says he's 50-50 to play.
Even if Cruise got out of the movie for some reason...would he bother showing up to see the relative unknowns Beckham would play next Tuesday? |

More bad news:
http://sports.yahoo.com/mls/news;_ylt=Ag...p&type=lgns Beckham is set for a busy weekend. He and wife Victoria will be the honored guests at a welcome bash hosted by Tom Cruise and Will Smith at the Museum of Contemporary Art's Geffen Contemporary in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night. Cruise is reportedly flying in from Germany, where he is shooting his newest film. Among those on the 600-person guest list are Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Jim Carrey and Steven Spielberg. |
