Default How to go about finding rare versions of songs?

Any helpful ideas for finding versions of songs that probably never went to retail?

2 Examples that I've had no luck whatsoever in finding:

- The version of The Streets "Dry your eyes" with Chris Martin of Coldplay doing backup vocals.

- A version of Bloc Party's "I Still Remember" with strong and louder background vocals in the last 30 seconds or so of the song... "I still remember (I still remember) (I still remember)

In both cases the songs were played on "The Church of Lazlo" a radio program that was in Kansas City and now is in Seattle.

I personally like www.seeqpod.com for finding rare music, although I could not find the music you were looking for.

It is great, they crawl the Interweb looking for music that people have publically shared. Lots of good stuff.

I usually can find most anything on Winmx.com but I don't think it's up right now.

You could try contacting the Church of Lazlo through their website and asking them where they got the tracks from:
