Re: Call the Camera
[ QUOTE ]
To be a little clearer: 1. Dealer should not have put Player A's blind bet into the pot. 2. As soon as his bet was prematurely scooped into the pot, Player A should have said something. At a minimum, Player A should have stopped the action as soon as he noticed there were no chips in front of his cards. 3. Even if he did not notice that there were no chips in front of him, he should not have protected his hand from the dealer's grabbing them. 4. Because Player C was all in and the matter was going to be reviewed by the floor, Player A should have asked for the chips to be put aside. 5. Once Player C is permitted to play with those chips, he cannot be forced to go into his pocket to pay back Player A. What did Player A do once he made his cocky blind bet before the river? Did he do a Phil Laak impression or close his eyes or somehow ignore what was going on on the table. There were plenty of chances for him to correct this before it got to the point where Player C was felted again. He didn't protect his cards, his action or his pot. [/ QUOTE ] The guy was not very experienced. When the dealer pulled in his blind bet he must not have known what was going on. It was a really awkward situation. Player A was sitting at the table when the floorman gave him the decision. Player C was standing behind both of them. The floorman was firm with his decision. I strongly beleive that all player A had to do to get his money was to ask player A, "so do you wanna go to the ATM to pay me back for that pot?" Like I mentioned before, player C was an older Indian gentleman. He looked like a software engineer. He was a bad player but he seemed like he was just trying to have fun. |
