Ok, so timing tells are a bit meh. However, I have come to a conclusion about 1 specific timing tell that I think is certain at the Micros: the INSTA river push oop on the scare card in a reasonable sized pot. This is a bluff - I'd take this one to the bank every single solitary time.

I timed out (i.e. folded) my TPTK AK in a BvB battle this morning when the flush card came and he insta pushed. I was running great this morning so decided to leave it (BR considerations >>> EV at that point lol), but I knew he was FOS and, surely enough, he shows total crapola. Never again at these stakes.

On an unrelated note, making mistakes is inevitable, standard and totally fine. BUT! Making stupid mistakes are none of these things. I am going to concentrate on this more than anything else in the coming weeks. Remove the big, dumb, ridiculous, stupid mistakes and I'm sure my wr might even double (lol, admittedly from humble beginnings).

Timing tells are fairly reliable. As long as acknowledge that they don't apply to multitablers.

Yeah, pretty lame. But I think this is reasonable. If you are offered a 51/49 shot with a massive BR you'd take it all day. But if you are looking to build a roll asap to prepare for your next shot, I think passing up occasional EV like this is ok.

But maybe some of you would disagree with this. To me, it makes sense at the moment. I want a 100NL roll as quick as I can get it and am willing to give up some marginal spots to do it.

I tend to pass up thin spots at the end of a winning session. Call me whatever you like.

I saw a thread a month or so ago where a highstakes player was a small winner from the SB. I am -.05 bb/hand (-$1800) over a sample of 40k hands(from the sb). Is anyone here showing a profit from the SB in the 50nl stars game over a decent number of hands? If so, Help me!

It was more sympathy than anything else. But you turned down a BI+ from what you are saying
How +EV do you think your call would have been?

OK, So I started Project Absolute this month, Its a 3month project where outside of playing my usual 50k hands at stars, I plan on playing on the side at absolute

Hbomb transfered me 300 abs for stars at the beggining of the month... in 3 months i'd like to have 2k at absolute which would roll me to 6 table deep 50nl... I'll post updates frequently

I normally play higher, but with 300 I had to start at nl25, this should be good b/c I get 30% rakeback at absolute

So far i've run up 7 buyins in 2k hands at nl 25 and 2 buyins in 1.5k hands at nl50, bringing my roll up to 575 at absolute, also i've made 50 in rakeback

In other news I played none over the weekend except for some baby donkaments yesterday, was too tired to play cash. so i'm still sitting up 18 buyins at nl50 at stars this month, don't think i'll reach my goal of 60 without a sick run this week. Still should reach supernova by the end of august! yay, I have 300,000 fpps saved for when I hit supernova, which is like 4500$! so I think i'm just going to take that money and take a shot at 200nl and 400nl, as my bankroll nitting is starting to reach an extreme.

Thoughts?
