I don't really care. The winner will win by virtue of catching at least some lucky breaks, so being "the winner" doesn't mean all that much anyway.

Well in terms of money and publicity it will mean a lot to the winner of this semi-lottery. But I was talking of the deeper meaning.

If anyone talks in terms like "x would be so good for the game omg," pls realize it's 2007.

If one takes a step outside the "'Merican view" for a second one can see that now after the poker boom, a NON US winnar, ESP a European winnar, would be significant as Europe/Asia continue as a growth markets for poker and North America is a plateued/mature market already (possibly a declining mkt due to the legislation).

Not to mention Kalmar has a pretty good, non hysterical, friendly personality and would make a good ambassador for the game, ala, Hachem.

I'm sure Hilm, though far more quiet would also make a good ambassador and he has the near PA good looks.

just seems like it might be khan's year the way some of the hands have gone... we'll see... kravchenko's been the short stack, though, since like... 20 players were left and it looks like he's doing an amazing job on the bunker... him winning would be an impressive result
