Re: Worst Hand ever played on TV
[ QUOTE ]
Ok, I'm wrong. More or less short-stacked at the final table, 70K did not represent a huge bet stack-wise for Harrington, especially into that pot. Okay, so he needs, what, 11:1 to make it a good call ? hmmm.... 370k in the pot... 70k to call... only 5:1.... The bet only represents about 3% of his stack... I make that call all day. what did he expect playing 45; he'd only continue playing if he flopped the straight ? Ok, so maybe you won't see me at any final tables soon. :-) I'm still saying I'd make that call. It's probably not the WORST play around... But I thought at least it would make for some interesting conversation. [/ QUOTE ] You might think so, but you'd be wrong. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Some guy folds a turned set of tens against Phil Ivey and someone else facing a single bet on the turn on a board something like AJxT. Guy: I think I just screwed up. I folded tens. Ivey: You folded a ten? Guy: I had pocket tens. Ivey: You did not just fold a set of tens. [/ QUOTE ] tommy reed made that fold at the FT of the 05 lake tahoe circuit event ivey's reaction is hilarious in that hand. [/ QUOTE ] I really want to see a video of this. *chuckle* [/ QUOTE ] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3A0KOrspzVM |

Re: Worst Hand ever played on TV
I'm still wondering how HAIR challenged Mr. Jacob called off his tournament with 94s
on a A4xK board w/no flush draw in early event of this world series to go out in 3rd place, when he had tons of chips, and I think he just talked too much giving away plenty himself. I assume this hand was already covered, but I haven't been following the forums lately, just stopping by and saw this thread. |
