Re: ** WSOP ME, $10,000 NLHE, Day 6, Sun., July 15**
[ QUOTE ]
Dispatches from the Men's Room Two players came into the bathroom on the break and began a conversation about how many chips they had. "13 million" one said. "Oh, you have to have 15 million after that last hand" the other replied. "I don't know, but every time there's a raise or anything, there are cameras in my face to get reactions and stuff. Who edits all this stuff in a room?" The two players are having a casual, matter-of-fact conversation about how many millions are sitting in front of them. Neither notices the poor guy mopping up the floor going right by them. One can only wonder what he's thinking. It's just another day at the WSOP. It's a crazy scene that must be seen to be believed. [/ QUOTE ] Wow, I just defended Pokernews, and I will still but why this. Just makes it all sound bad and uncaring. Somebody tell the guy mopping that he can pay 10K and enter the same tournament. |

Matusow came 2nd in the bellagio cup earlier, making more than the 8th place finisher in the main event.
In other news, I just saw Gus Hansen on ftp and asked him how it feels being the Dmitri Nobles of 2007. He didn't reply. |

ESPN's Featured Table Seat 1 - Tuan Lam Seat 4 - Scotty Nguyen - Seat 6 - Philip Hilm Seat 7 - Raymond Rahme Seat 9 - Lee Childs
Bluff's Featured Table (Outer Table) Seat 1 - Jon Kalmar -Seat 2 - Lee Watkinson Seat 3 - Steven Garfinkle - Seat 5 - Jerry Yang Seat 6 - Hevad 'Rain' Khan - Seat 7 - Alex Kravchenko 3 of the 4 short stacks @ Bluff's featured table. Kalmar has a sizeable chip edge over everyone @ his table. He should be abusing the bubble. These were the seating assignments @ the last dinner break. I took out the players who busted. I don't think anyone has had to switch tables to balance the tables. |

Re: ** WSOP ME, $10,000 NLHE, Day 6, Sun., July 15**
Featured Table: Raymond Rahme vs. Scotty Nguyen
Lee Childs has the button in seat 9, Raymond Rahme raises from the cutoff to 450,000, Scotty Nguyen reraises from the big blind to 950,000, and Rahme calls. The flop comes {8d}{5c}{4c}, and both players check. The turn card is the {9s}, Nguyen checks, Rahme bets 750,000, and Nguyen thinks for about 30 seconds before he calls. The river card is the {7c}, and both players check. Rahme shows {Ah}{9h} for a pair of nines, and Nguyen mucks. Raymond Rahme wins the pot. Should be down to under 14 million now. |

[ QUOTE ] Looks like Kalmar's happy to call off big chunks of his stack in bad spots for no good reason. Outer Table: Garfinkle Doubles Through Kalmar Steven Garfinkle raises to 500,000 in middle position and Jon Kalmar calls. The flop comes 2s 4s 3c. Jon Kalmar checks. Garfinkle is all in for 2,780,000. Kalmar calls. Garfinkle has AsAd and Kalmar has Ks Jc . The turn is the Jc and the river is Ac . Garfinkle doubles up. [/ QUOTE ] They report it as him having the Jc in his hand and the Jc coming on the turn. I'm sure he had KsJs for a flush draw.... [/ QUOTE ] Yeah that makes a helluva lot more sense. Dummy me just copy and pasted from pokernews.com and i missed the two Jc's pokernews printed. |

"Scotty Nguyen started the day as one of the short stacks in 27th place. He's currently in the top 5."
I believe Paul Wasicka was the short stack with 27 remaining last year. |
