Re: ** WSOP ME, $10,000 NLHE, Day 6, Sun., July 15**
They have a 25K chip AND a 50K chip and all three chips are a shade of the same color? And I thought the card fiasco was the dumbest mistake ever.

100K chips will probably be in soon. I'm guessing they will be orangeish.

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Scotty Nguyen Color Blind? Scotty Nguyen had a problem with putting the wrong color chip out for his blig blind. There are three denominations of chips and they're all a varation of orange. The 5,000 chips are orange or tangerine as one staff member called it. The 25,000 chips are peach-colored. The 50,000 are salmon-colored. Depending on the lighting in the Amazon Ballroom and underneath the lights of the ESPN feature table, both players and dealers are having a difficult time figuring out what chips are in play. As one player said, he had to physically look at the numbers on the chips to determine what he's betting. Since all the chips are very similar to each other, action has slowed down while players make extra precautions before betting. Dealers are also having a tougher time counting down stacks and bets. [/ QUOTE ] lol @ Harrah's thinking ahead. [/ QUOTE ] Why are they even using $50,000 chips? Do they have $100,000 chips? If so, they should just color the $50,000 out immediately. If not, WTF? [/ QUOTE ] Harrah's = retarted |

[ QUOTE ]
Damn, it seems like there's been a lot of KK v. AA this tournament. [/ QUOTE ] Um, that's because every single one will be a huge pot and will get reported on the updates. There have been about 235067823450978 hands dealt so far, and it isn't THAT uncommon. Nothing unusual IMHO. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] If Alaei gets chips he's gonna be trouble...but man I don't really like a limp reraise all in from the button with A5o. [/ QUOTE ] I think Alaei has a fairly tight image so he figures to get a lot of FE out of a limp-reraise. [/ QUOTE ] If so that was a pretty bad read given he got called by ATo. [/ QUOTE ] Not necessarily a bad read, just bad luck that the guy had AT and decided to play a 3 mil pot with it. Until the really good luck on the river, of course. |

Re: ** WSOP ME, $10,000 NLHE, Day 6, Sun., July 15**
William Speadea raises to 200,000 from middle position and Kevin Farry reraises to 800,000 from the cutoff. It is folded back around to Spadea, who moves all in. Both players have a mountain of multi denominational chips that all look the same. Farry goes into the tank. He is looking at Spadeas stack, trying to calculate how much it will cost him. He eventually shrugs and makes the call.
William Spadea has {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} Kevin Farry has {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} The flop comes {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Farry will need to catch one of the two remaining nines, running diamonds to win - or running sixes to chop. The turn {2-Hearts} and river {10-Diamonds} don't deliver and Spadea wins the hand. The dealer starts to count the chips, and it turns out that Spadea has 4,500,000. |

khan is kinda prepared for this. he said just yesterday this has always been his dream, to go really deep in a huge tournament and be crazy.
i dont think ESPN will portray him as a douchebag, they will just interview him and show clips of him and portray him as the eccentric internet wunderkind, and let viewers decide what level of "douche" he is. |

Umm, yeah, I also like to call 4-bet shoves with 99 and not know how many chips I'm calling.
edit: And I just disagree with your assessment of the Alaei hand, if you are 4bet thinking you had a lot of FE, and the guy calls with AT, then you made a bad read. |
