Any time I can get away with it. (Yesterday was 1:30 PM central. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]) I can imagine how the players feel trying to concentrate amongst the slowness of live play all day. It exhausting just to sweat them 'til 4 AM this many days in a row.

Actually I've been up a while and made breakfast. I served the Boy's saying, "Well. this started out as scrambled eggs, but I found the ingredients really lent themselves to an omelette...."

This year (in all events), the players all start with 2x the respective buy-in. So for the $10k ME, they start with 20k in chips.

The rake comes out of the prize pool, not the chip stacks. Harrah's keeps 4.2% and 1.8% is set aside for the tournament staff. So with 6,358 entries, Harrah's gets $2.67mil, the tournament staff get $1.14mil. The net is $59,784,954 for the players.

uhhhh, no WSOP event has ever started with 9400 chips. 10k yes, 9400? no.

am i the only person who thinks it's absurd to make them cut 27 players today?? it might go all night. usually they start this day with 18-27 players and cut the field down to 9... and even that usually takes 10-12 hours of play.

I'd say 10 may be a better o/u, next pay jump is at 27, and Bergen and Kim have like no chips.
