Razz Winrates
What kind of winrates would be possible for a part time razz player, at micro limits, says .25/50 to 2/4?
Curious as I know someone who wants to do this. anyone have some PT stats? Thanks Mura |

Re: Razz Winrates
i've been curious about this myself, but didnt really worry too much about it, focusing more on winning > losing. i wouldnt mind seeing long-run PT stats though, if anybody has them

Re: Razz Winrates
Here's my own statistics from roughly the last year or so on Full Tilt's Razz ring games up to $2/$4. I'm no wizard, but I'm profitable in these games. The Razz portion of HORSE ring games is included as well, but those are probably less than 1% of the whole sample...
Note that "total rake" is the total rake out of all pots, whether I won or not. 0.25/0.50 11817 hands played total profit = $105.70 +1.79 BB/100 15.83 BB/100 standard deviation total rake = $1182.90 0.50/1.00 2787 hands played total profit = $113.95 +4.09 BB/100 15.24 BB/100 standard deviation total rake = $525.50 1.00/2.00 4155 hands played total profit = $34.10 +0.41 BB/100 13.99 BB/100 standard deviation total rake = $1274.25 2.00/4.00 3346 hands played total profit = $358.55 +2.68 BB/100 13.21 BB/100 standard deviation total rake = $1197.00 I have played higher stakes as well, but if you want to find out how good I am at those, you'll have to play me. As you can see, Full Tilt is making out like a bandit, collecting over $4000 in rakes on those hands while I only come away with a little more than $600 profit. Also, the variance (standard deviation) drops with each increase in stakes. |

Re: Razz Winrates
At higher limits an expert razz player playing at at table full of tough thinking players can expect Razz to be the lowest varience game available. There is a discussion on this in Gambling Theory & Other Topics by Mason Malmuth where he discusses bankroll theory and requirements for razz.

In these games if your standard deviation is high then you need to look internally to find the problem - its probably in how you are playing. |
