Re: Life Beat: Being Philly Sports Fan
i care, and philly fans are loyal as hell..
the fact that the phillies still exist, at a time when philadelphia had two teams, the A's and the Phillies, and the A's were good and the phillies sucked asscheeks is a testimony to the dedication of this city when it comes to sports.. the most losing team in the history of sports still draws 37,500 people a night, good for 8th in the country. And this a football town. fair weather fans? a little drunk aholes? yes loyal? yes it's like any other city you love it if you're here but everyone else hates us.. so who cares f you haters |

[ QUOTE ]
99,999 losses 1 to go!!!! [/ QUOTE ] 99,999 is a lot. My brother's bright idea for the 10,000th loss was a promotional give away t-shirt that says "the first 10,000 are the hardest". Anybody in this thread talking sh-t on Philly fans has probably never lived within 50 miles a real sports team and grew up rooting for whoever won the world series or super bowl when they were 10 and could remember sports for the first time. That or the pretty uniforms. I stayed up all night to watch Veteran's stadium implode..and I cried. |

Re: Life Beat: Being Philly Sports Fan
Philly fans are loyal but they are so negative that I can't stand talking to most of them for more than 2 minutes
also their stupid 'duuuuuce' 'bouccch' 'luuuuke' 'zuuuuus' [censored] whenever one of these guys would touch the ball/puck made me wish for all their deaths i enjoyed all 8 championships my new york/new jersey area teams won in the last 20 years |

Re: Life Beat: Being Philly Sports Fan
I moved to Philly from the west coast a year ago, and had no idea how insane sports is around here. I absolutely love it, the atmosphere is just incredible for a sports fan. But try to think on the bright side, it used to be a life beat to be a Red Sox fan, and they're winners now... it'll come for the phils and eagles. Someday.
